Excitement for the Phoenix Coyotes is sweeping the state of Arizona and their success is resulting in television ratings for the team that haven’t been seen in nearly 11 years.

FOX Sports Arizona’s string of 23 possible game telecasts in 16 days got off to a flying start last night when the Arizona Diamondbacks/Los Angeles Dodgers game (April 15) generated the D-backs highest television rating of the season.

The man in charge of the NHL’s best story is the latest Arizona sports celebrity profiled by FOX Sports Arizona’s popular In My Own Words series when In My Own Words – Dave Tippett premieres on Tuesday, Jan. 12, at 6 p.m.

Fox Sports Arizona announced Friday it has added eight Phoenix Coyotes games to its telecast schedule for the 2009-10 season, each of which will be offered in a tape delay due to prior live programming commitments. The games will be produced by the visiting team’s FSN television partner and will air the same day immediately after FOX Sports Arizona’s live programming is complete.

Daron Sutton and Tom Kuyper will handle the call for 10 Arizona State men’s basketball games on FOX Sports Arizona this year, starting with the season opener Nov. 13 against Western Illinois at 7 p.m.
